1,063,968. Beverage making apparatus. R. STASSE. June 25, 1964, No. 26423/64. Heading A4D. A machine for dispensing hot coffee has a cold water supply tank 1 connected to a .pump 4 driven by a motor 5 and connected in turn through a pipe 6 to a water heater 7 including a resistance heater 12 and a thermostat 13, the heater 7 being connected by a line 8 to a percolator comprising a filter 9 and filter carrier 10. When the water in heater 7 has reached boiling point, motor 5 is started by a switch 15 and cold water delivered by the pump forces boiling water through the orifice 16 of the percolator, a lightly loaded valve in the line 8 acting as a safety valve in the event of excess pressure in the generator but preventing a continuous escape of steam.
