Abstract

1,063,633. Swimming pool covers. PETERSFIELD PLASTICS Ltd. March 1, 1965 [Feb. 27, 1964; Oct. 1, 1964], Nos. 8176/64 and 39970/64. Heading A4N. A swimming pool cover comprises rows of slabs (1) of expanded polystyrene interconnected by polythene sheeting (2) or strips of webbing (5) so that the slabs (1) float in side by side relation upon the water or are foldable concertina fashion for storage. The polythene sheeting (2) may be formed as a tube and welded to form separate pockets for each slab (1). The webbing (5) and sheeting (2) are adapted to form hinge connections (6 and 3) between the slabs and they may have extensions (7 and 4) to form hand grips.
