Abstract

1,063,368. Selecting cards. MOSLER SAFE CO. Aug. 12, 1965 [March 18, 1965], No. 34606/65: Addition to 1,063,367. Heading G4M. The apparatus of the parent invention is modified in that instead of using fingers to compress a deck of cards in a pocket to create an entry space for the return of a card, a stream of air is directed against the front face of the deck. The air stream may be provided by the same nozzles as are used to prevent withdrawal of adjacent cards with a selected card. The card ejection nozzle may also be used to assist in compressing the deck when returning a card. The air streams are directed against the bevelled edges of a pocket wall and are then deflected on to the front face of the deck.
