Abstract
1,062,570. Microscopes. CARL ZEISS JENA VEB. April 24, 1964, No. 17093/64. Heading G2J. A measuring microscope comprises a collimation graticule 7 inserted on the object side of the eyepiece 6, and an accessory attachment consisting of a telescope objective 13 and a contactor lever 16 for mechanically scanning a surface under investigation, the lever being tiltable at right angles to the optical axis and carrying a tilting mirror (17), Fig.2 (not shown) which co-operates with a stationary auto-collimation mirror (15), the arrangement being such that an image 9' of a division mark 9 of the graticule is focused on a stationary scale 10 of the graticule 7 after reflection at the mirrors (17), (15), whereby deflection of the lever 16 results in displacement of the image 9' relative to the scale 10. In order to measure the surface in right-angled co-ordinate directions the accessory and graticule are rotatable about their optical axes between two working positions. The division mark 9 is illuminated by a single stationary light source 22 for both working positions. Two prisms 26, 27 direct the light on to the mark 9 for one working position, two further prisms (26'), (27') being provided for the other position, one prism of each pair being fast with the graticule and the other being stationary.
