Abstract
1,062,442. Fluid shift registers. BOWLES ENGINEERING CORPORATION. Feb. 17, 1964 [Feb. 26, 1963], No. 44565/66. Divided out of 1,062,441. Heading G4P. A fluid shift register comprises a plurality of bi-stable devices 27, 31 interconnected by an amplifier which, on receiving a fluid shift pulse on input 2 in coincidence with a binary signal on channel 4 or 7 from bi-stable device 27 directs the flow along channel 21 or 19 respectively to switch the flow in bi-stable device 31 so that the binary signal previously stored in the first bi-stable device 27 is transferred to the second.
