Abstract

106,187. Kuehnrich, P. R. July 25, 1916. Alloys.-A high-speed steel contains approximately 1.5-3.5 per cent of carbon, 6-20 per cent of chromium, and 1-6 per cent of cobalt. Small quantities of heavy metals, such as nickel, molybdenum, tantalum, and vanadium, may be added. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 104,670.
