Abstract

1,061,167. Lift truck forks. LEVERTONS (INDUSTRIAL) Ltd. Oct. 7, 1965 [.July 8, 1964], No. 28062/64. Heading B8H. A fork lift truck is provided with a pair of tines 6 which are pivotable between an operative position, in which they overlie shorter tines 2, and an inoperative upright position. Each tine 6 is pivoted about an axis 8 on brackets 9 secured to the upright portion of the L-shaped tine 2. A pivoted latch member 13 is mounted above the tine 2 on a bracket 15 secured to the tine and is adapted to pass through an aperture 19 in the tine 6 to hold the tine in the inoperative upright position, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown). The latch member 13 is normally spring-urged against a stop 16.
