1,061,145. Delivering sheets. J. V. BAILEY, G. C. FORTIN and M. C. STANLEY. Aug. 16, 1963 [Aug. 16, 1962], No. 31452/62. Heading B6H. Apparatus for stacking sheets on a base-plate 509 comprises a rotating suction drum 501 and spaced fingers 504 engaging annular recesses 503 in the drum. The fingers are slidable vertically on a support 506 and urged towards said recesses by a spring 507. Sheets stripped from the drum are fed up to the support 506 and supported in a stack on the base-plate 509. The latter is spring-urged upwardly and descends as the stack grows. Counting means are provided which actuate a solenoid 508 when the stack is complete, to move the fingers out of the recesses, whereby the completed stack is moved away from the drum, gripped between the fingers and base-plate.
