In a photographic camera containing an electrical device, e.g. an exposure meter, which has a battery and a switch in its circuit, a switch ring 7 rigidly connected to a contact disc 8 is provided, which ring is concentric with a Cover 6 and is rotatable so that a contact 9 can close one of two circuits between the battery and a galvanometer 15. One circuit contains a photo-electric cell, the other a fixed resistance so that the battery can be tested. The battery is housed in a compartment 2.
