Abstract

1,060,239. Pipe connections. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. Jan. 10, 1966 [Nov. 23, 1964], No. 47517/64. Heading F2G. Means for connecting the adjacent ends of a pair of relatively fixed coaxial pipes 10, 11 to a body 12 comprises clamping means 23 movable axially to provide a seal between the outer pipe 11 and the body and an open-ended, cup-shaped, compressible sealing ring 18 which extends over and engages the free end of the inner pipe and a bore 17 in the body. The inner pipe is supported in the outer pipe by longitudinal vanes 15 which do not extend beyond the end of the outer pipe which is shorter at the adjacent end than the inner pipe. The seal at the clamping means consists of an olive 21 which is compressed thereby.
