Abstract
1,060,106. Washing-machines. O. SCHARPF and E. SCHARPF, [trading as GEBR. SCHARPF KOMM.-GES MASCHINENFABRIK]. June 2, 1965 [June 4, 1964], No. 23597/65. Heading D1A. A detergent flush feed comprises a floor portion 12 from which detergent is washed through an opening 14 into a washing machine by water entering through a supply pipe 16 and channel 20, part of the supply of water however from the pipe 16 being channelled separately to by-pass the detergent and feed directly into the opening 14, and has tiltable cup 26 containing separate additives which is tilted by the action of the incoming water on the baffle 20. The cup 26 can be placed in position before the washing operation in which case the additive in it goes into the washing water or may be placed in position after the washing water has been run into the drum in which case the additive is mixed with the rinsing water. In a modification (not shown) the tipping cup may have two compartments rigidly joined together.
