In a threshing device, of the kind comprising a rotary threshing drum and concave, the concave having main, spaced, ridge-members extending parallel to the drum-axis, supplementary ridge-members are removably located between the main ridge-members so as to protrude above them towards the drum. The concave is of conventional construction having arcuate members 21, between which are mounted a series of axial bars 22 forming the main ridge-members, and arcuate rods 23 passing through the ridge-members to form a concave grid. The supplementary ridge-members comprise channel members which are bolted to the rods so that their flanges upstand beyond the bars 22, the webportions of the channels being apertured to permit the channels to be attached to the rods by bolts encircled by springs. Space is left along the sides of the channels to permit the passage of the threshed crop and holes may also be provided in the webs for the same purpose.
