Abstract

A composition consisting on a cyclohexane-free basis of a mixture of cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone, and other acidic and neutral oxygenated cyclohexane derivatives, containing 80 to 95% of cyclohexanol by weight plus cyclohexanone and 70 to 92% by weight cyclohexanol, and having an acid number of 0.01 to 0.75. The composition may be derived from cyclohexane by molecular oxygen oxidation in the presence of meta-boric acid.
