Abstract

1,057.935. Track moving devices. MATISA MATERIEL INDUSTRIEL S.A. March 17, 1964 [March 18, 1963], No. 11217/64. Heading E1G. A railway track moving device is formed of a supporting member 9, a rail gripper carrying member 4 and two connecting members 7 hinged at points 6, 8 lying on two straight lines intersecting at a point A located at sleeper level, about which point the track and member 4 may freely pivot when a shifting jack 12 is operated. The supporting member 9 is carried in bearings 10 rigid with an auxiliary member 11 freely slidable vertically on columns 17 rigid with the frame 18 of a rail vehicle. Hoisting jacks 19 may be connected between the frame 18 and the gripper carrying member 4 for lifting or tilting of the rails. In a second embodiment the supporting member 9 is attached to the rail vehicle and the connecting members 7 comprise jacks controlled by a single valve for equal and opposite movements. In a third embodiment, Fig. 3, the member 9 is rigid with the rail vehicle and the connecting members are formed by jacks 12, 19 pivoting at 8, 23 and 6, 22 respectively on the members 9 and 4; the jack axes intersecting at A. A second lifting jack 19 is also coupled between the members 9 and 4.
