Abstract

1,056,002. Bag-making machines; discarding defective bags. NATRO-CELLULOSA S.p.A. INDUSTRIA IMBALLAGI CARTA. March 8, 1965 [March 6, 1964], No. 9708/65. Addition to 1,015,104. Heading B5D. Defective bag tube elements 2, Fig. 1 (not shown), are automatically removed from the bag bottom closing machine described in Specification 1,015,104 by a device which is energized whenever a pressure-responsive switch indicates that a blank has failed to cover the holes of the suction grippers. The faulty blank is pressed by counter-rollers 5, Fig. 2, against a driven roller 3 which discharges it laterally from the machine. The device is operated either electrically. electro-pneumatically or electro-hydraulically and, when energized, also cuts-off the electric current to the electrodes which weld the block bottom closure.
