1,055,744. Machine tool details. E. ARNDT, [trading as DONAU-WERKZEUGMASCHI NEN ERICH ARNDT]. Sept. 27, 1963 [Sept. 28, 1962], No. 38222/63. Headings B3B and B3C. The arm of a radial arm drilling machine is formed from two angle bars 1, 2 welded together at 3, and has rails 4 bolted thereon, the rails co-operating with ball bearings 5 for guiding the arm. Bearings 5 are supported in adjustable mounts and they are offset a distance X from the centre line of the side surfaces of the arm. The arm is arranged with the diagonal, of its cross-section lying vertically, or the arm and bearings may be turned through 90 degrees.
