Abstract

Combined seam welding and milling plant for the manufacture of posts and masts and other long workpieces has a carriage on which are mounted the welding head and the milling station. The machine is self aligning by the action of a roller probe running in the weld gap in front of the welding head and another probe consisting of twin rolls running on either side of the weld seam in front and behind it, adjusting the height of the milling cutter disc correspondingly.
