Abstract

Curable compositions comprise (A) an epoxy resin, (B) an amino group-containing fatty acid based curing agent, and (C) a coumaroneindene resin component consisting of 60-85 weight per cent of an unmodified coumaroneindene resin and 40-15 weight per cent of a phenolic modified coumarone-indene resin, (B) being present in an amount sufficient to fully cure the composition. Curing agents specified are amino-amides, amino-polyamides, amino-imidazolines, imino-linked polyamide-polyimidazolines and mono-fatty alkyl substituted dialkylenetriamines. The compositions may also contain solvents, catalysts and pigments. The compositions are useful as coating and concrete topping compositions.
