A cylindrical roller bearing comprises a race 1 (Fig. 1, not shown), with rims at both ends for retaining the rollers axially, and a plurality of rollers 6 held in a cage 8, the race having rims 2 and 3 which merge into axially directed flanges 4 and 5 respectively, at both ends. One flange 5 is of less diameter than the cage to locate the cage. The axially directed flanges may merge into further flanges directed towards the race.
