Abstract

Junction rubber and like combinations. - Electric accumulator cells and other vessels for holding acids and other liquids are made of alternate layers a, b, c of hard and soft rubber or rubber compound. Three or more layers may be employed, a soft layer being interposed between each pair of hard layers. The unvulcanized mixtures are applied in layers to a former of the shape of the vessel, each layer being cemented or otherwise attached to the adjacent layers. The whole is then vulcanized.
