Abstract
1,053,623. Paste dispensing devices. C.D. WALLER. April 22, 1964, No.16710/64. Addition to 963, 207. Heading F1R. A paste dispenser as in the parent Specification has ratchet means to prevent reverse relative rotation between the inner container 1 and the outer container 3, comprising a series of equiangularly spaced teeth 32 formed on inner container 1 co-operating with a resilient or spring-loaded pawl 34 on outer container 3. The "clicks" produced by movement of pawl 34 over teeth 32 permit determination of the quantity dispensed. Piston 8 has a projection 36 for closing discharge opening 7. Cap 28 acts to lock the inner and outer containers together. For refilling the dispenser, the threads of piston 8 and inner container 1 are rounded to permit direct downward displacement of piston 8 by a tool inserted through aperture 7.
