[Also in Division G2] A transfer sheet used in thermographic transfer process comprises a support either of paper weighing about 12 pounds per ream of 3000 square feet or of clear regenerated cellulose 1.5 mils thick coated on one side with a dyed heat transferable wax layer and on the other side with eithera wax layer which may contain an infra-red transparent dye, or an infra-red transparent polymeric layer. Specified polymers are regenerated cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate, nylon, polyvinyl acetate, poly-ethylene terephthalate. The dyed wax layer is preferably applied at 5 lbs per ream of 300 square feet.
