Abstract
1,050,834. Surgical bedsteads. CHAS. F. THACKRAY Ltd. Oct. 23, 1964 [Oct. 29, 1963], No. 42595/63. Heading A4H. [Also in Division H5] A hospital trolley includes a rigid horizontal frame 1 on legs 2, 3 provided with wheels 4, a two-part table top 6, 7 supported on the frame 1 of which a part 6 can be moved in a horizontal plane and a part 7 into a lower plane for the part 6 to be slid over it, Fig. 4 (not shown). Pivoted links and levers 17, 19 are provided for lowering and raising the part 7. The part 6 includes an insert of material through which X-ray photographs may be taken. An X-ray cassette receiving carriage 11 is mounted on rails 10. Leg supports 24 Fig 2 (not shown) are mounted on brackets 25 and are adjustable in height and angularity. The part 6 may be mounted on rollers 8 and have an adjustable head rest 12. Detachable side frame members may be fitted into sockets 29 to prevent a patient falling from the trolley. A detachable douching funnel 30 may be fitted.
