Abstract
1,050,528. Optical apparatus. HILGER & WATTS Ltd. Sept. 5, 1963 [Sept. 6, 1962], No. 34189/62. Heading G2J. The exit slit assembly of a spectrograph comprises a screening material 10 in which a series of slits 12 have been formed by etching or electron beam machining. To take account of the dimensional variations that occur between successive instruments, each is provided with means for varying its dispersion at the exit slit assembly by varying the relative positions of entry slit, dispersion element and exit slit.
