Abstract
1,050,474. Concentricity gauges. A. EISELE. Aug. 21, 1963, No. 33085/63. Heading G1M. A shaft and bore concentricity gauge adapted to measure the concentricity or otherwise of a shaft 18 and a bore 42, represented in the embodiment by the inner circumference of an oil seal 32, comprises a member 44 adapted to fit over the end of the shaft and its key 22, a member 66 relatively rotatable thereon and a tubular measurement transfer member 88 fitting into the bore 42 which is secured to the end face of member 66 to be relatively rotatable and capable of radial float according to any eccentricity between the shaft and bore. A feeler member 124 bears on the periphery of the transfer member 88 and transmits radial movement to a dial gauge 160 secured to the member 66 and having a handgrip 114. On relative rotary movement between the member 66 and the member 44 the dial gauge will show the required concentricity x.
