Abstract
1,050,402. Ventilators. A. DE JONG N.V. Feb. 21, 1964 [Feb. 21, 1963], No. 7375/64. Heading F4V. A ventilator allowing the simultaneous withdrawal of air from and supply of conditioned air to a room comprises a grid 13 mounted over a wall opening and a part sphere 19 forming an air passage which is universally rotatable in a seating 18 of the grid. A duct 30 supplies heated air to the room through the part sphere 19. Air is withdrawn from the room through the grid. A valve member 22 is axially slidable in a guide member 24 supported in the part sphere by ribs 25. The valve member is integral with an operating member 23 which is also used to rotate the part sphere 19. A number of rooms in a building may each be provided with one of the above ventilators, air being withdrawn through the grids to a common space containing an air heater from which air is returned to the ducts 30 of each ventilator.
