Abstract

1,050,274. Sludge digesters. WALKER PROCESS EQUIPMENT Inc. Feb. 18, 1964 [Feb. 18, 1963], No. 6758/64. Heading C1C. A sludge digester has a two-part draft tube 22 and 24 with pumping means for raising sludge, e.g. air-lift spargers 37. The pumping means and the upper part of the draft tube are carried by the roof 12 while the lower portion of the draft tube 22 rests on the bottom of the tank. A sludge digester with a floating roof is illustrated in Fig. 2 (not shown).
