Abstract

Thermally stable aqueous solutions of lysozyme are prepared by adding a diol or polyol to aqueous solutions of the enzyme. Specified stabilizers are ethylene glycol, glycerol, propylene glycol and non-aldosic polyhydroxylated compounds, e.g. pentaerythritol, sorbitol, mannitol, inositol and quercitol.
