Abstract

1,049,595. Analogue-to-digital converters. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd., and W. G. C. APPLEBY. June 17, 1965 [June 29, 1964], No. 26783/64. Heading G4H. The frequency of a signal whose frequency is to be determined is multiplied and the resulting signal gated for predetermined periods less than one second, the number of cycles in each period being determined, e.g. by a counter with visual read-out. The gate is opened by frequencydivided clock pulses, and the counter output may be compared with a required value for the frequency to control the frequency.
