Abstract

1,049,484. Toy building bricks. METTOY Co. Ltd. Sept. 6, 1963 [June 20, 1962], No. 23713/62. Heading A6S. A toy building block 1 having a pair of opposite walls with projections 3 and recesses 6, respectively, for mutual engagement of a similar block, comprises an openable box, which may be transparent, of a plastics material, serving as a container. In the first embodiment, the box is in two halves 2 and 4, Fig. 2, and arranged with grooves 11 and inner projections 12 on respective halves so the two halves snap together. The second embodiment, Fig. 3, comprises a hinged box with snap catches 19. A third embodiment, Fig. 6, is in the form of a box 32 with a drop down flap 26. The boxes may be used as containers for model cars and other toys.
