In a drier drum according to the parent Specification, the minimum shell thickness A at the interior grooves 108 is related to the shell diameter in the manner shown in the shaded area X of Fig. 3. The Specification also gives a number of relationships between the shell thicknesses A, B and the dimensions C, D, E of the ribs and grooves 106, 108.
