Abstract

1,048,078. Slide projection apparatus. S. BESANCENOT. Sept. 11, 1963 [Nov. 20, 1962], No. 35886/63. Heading G2J. In apparatus for the control and operation of the slide pusher or the slide pusher and the slide tray of a projector having a motor driven fan, an electromagnet 9 controls two toothed wheels 4, 5 through which the pusher may be driven from the said motor. Shaft 0 1 of wheel 4 carries an arm 6 with a stop 7 engageable by a head 8 on the core of the electromagnet, and wheel 5 is fast on shaft 0 2 with a cam 11 having a notch 12 in to which arm 6 is urged at its end 14 by the spring 10<SP>1</SP>, a crank 16 also fast on shaft 0 2 being connected by link 15 to the pusher for imparting reciprocatory motion. When electromagnet 9 is momentarily energized arm 6 is rotated clockwise against spring 10<SP>1</SP> to disengage end 14 from notch 12, to turn arm 6<SP>1</SP> which is also pivoted on shaft 0 1 and coupled to arm 6 by spring 10. Friction wheel 2 carried on shaft 0 of arm 6<SP>1</SP> is thus brought into contact with shaft 1a of the continuously driven fan, thereby rotating pinion 3 fast on shaft 0. Wheels 4, 5 are thus rotated to move crank in direction F 1 until cam 11 turns through one revolution, when end 14 drops into notch 12 and so disengages wheel 2 from shaft 1a.
