[Also in Division A2] A method of drying a mixture containing one or more constituents liable to be adversely affected during drying on a heated roller comprises forming a plurality of separate layers comprising the constituents on the roller, allowing the layers to dry thereon, and removing the dried layers as a single film therefrom, characterized in that the constituents are chosen so that those liable to be adversely affected are shielded by one of these layers unaffected by the adverse conditions. The conditions may be heat from the roller or atmospheric conditions or reactions between the constituents.
