A storage container comprises a base plate 1, a cover plate 9 and four outwardly curved arcuate wall plates 2, 3, 4, 5 of sheet metal welded thereto. Cross stays may be welded to the base and cover members or to stiffening bars welded thereto, see Fig. 2 (not shown).
