[Also in Division G1] In the I.L.S. apparatus described in the parent Specification (see Division G1) improved automatic control for the phase of the 120 c/s. reference signal is effected in accordance with the integral of the output of a phase-sensitive detector, or a voltage-controlled oscillator (which may be a multivibrator) is provided.
