Abstract

1,046,442. Concrete floors. E. G. WILLETT. May 16, 1963 [April 17, 1962; June 1, 1962], Nos. 14940/62 and 21313/62. Heading E1V. A reinforced structural unit comprises a beam with a base 9 having integral ribs 11, flanges 1 and 2, on the latter of which is located a flanged lid. The beam may be a fibrous mass, e.g. compressed straw or wood wool, binded with cement. The unit may be a lightweight concrete and the reinforcement may comprise rods 7 and/or chicken wire 8.
