Abstract

1,046,389. Semi-conductor rectifiers. SIEMENS SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. Aug. 24, 1965 [Oct. 8, 1964], No. 36391/65. Heading H1K. In a method of assembling a semi-conductor rectifier device a stack of tablet-form rectifier members 1 and terminal plates 2 is held together between the jaws 6 of a gripping device 5 and a U-shaped spring clip 4 having slots 4c (not shown) formed in its arms 4a is placed over the stack so that the jaws are accommodated in the slots. The stack, with the spring clip in place, is then removed from the gripping device and may be encased in a curable plastic or lacquer. The members 1 are preferably made of selenium, and the clip constitutes the electrical connection between the two ends of the stack.
