Abstract

A polymer of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer is stabilized with an alkyl or phenyl ester of 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid or 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid. The polymer may be polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride or polyvinylidene chloride.
