Abstract

Paper is stock-sized with rosin and polyethylene. Used together, these two sizing agents synergize one another. They may be added as aqueous suspensions to the pulp which is then acidified, e.g. with papermakers alum, and formed into paper. The furnish may also contain fillers, e.g. clay. The products can include tissue paper or cardboard.
