Abstract

1,043,099. Cases for reels. PROBE & DEVELOP Inc. Dec. 3, 1964, No. 49197/64. Heading B8P. [Also in Division G2] A carrying or storage ease 1 for film or lika reels comprises two parts which together define a cavity for the reel and projecting handle portions 28. The case and cover portions are formed with arcuate, tapered lips forming a tight bayonet type connection, and central pins 7, 8, Fig. 6 (not shown), which pass through and support the centre of the reel. A spring-loaded locking pin 42, Fig. 7 (not shown), passes through aligned holes in the two parts when closed to prevent relative rotation and is withdrawn by manipulation of a tab 35. A gasket 18, Fig. 6, between the parts forms an air-tight and water-tight seal.
