Abstract

104,280. Perks, E. S. A. June 1, 1916. Dolls.-The body, head, and limbs of a doll are formed of telescopic parts, so that the size of the doll can be varied and the expression of the face altered. The doll consists of twelve telescopic cylinders, namely four A - - D, forming the head and body, two E, F forming each of the arms, and two G, H each of the legs. Stops on the inner or smaller cylinders F, H of the limbs engage in slots in the outer or larger cylinders E, G to limit their movements. The cylinders A - - D are slotted and stopped in diametrically opposite places at the sides of the head and body. The upper portions of the limbs are attached to the cylinders ders C, D of the body by pieces I of rag &c. Front and rear faces are formed on the three upper cylinders A, B, C; and when these cylinders are fully closed, the lower edges of the top and middle cylinders A, B make horizontal lines across the centres of the eyes and mouth respectively. The doll may be clothed in any suitable costume.
