Abstract

104,170. Volkers, E. Feb. 17, 1916, [Convention date]. Reciprocating machines.-A small electric motor for driving clocks, toys, small ventilators or fans, &c. comprises a single electro-magnet 7 and an armature 6, which, by means of a pawl 4, propels a fly-wheel 3 connected to the driven shaft by a spring 2. The circuit of the solenoid 7 is completed through contacts 9, 10, of which the contact 9 is carried by a double-armed lever 11 connected frictionally to a shaft 15 driven by the motor. The contact 10 is carried by a rod 14, to which an upward blow is transmitted by a double-armed lever 13, each time the armature 6 is attracted. When the circuit of the solenoid is broken, a spring returns the armature 6 to its initial position.
