Abstract

[Also in Divisions B5, G1 and G3] An endless conveyer is built of a plurality of flexible metal or plastic conveyer plates 3, Fig. 10 (not shown), having bars 4 which are engaged by the hooks 6, Fig. 1 (not shown), of endless conveyer chains. The plates may be contoured as illustrated in Fig. 10, the contoured surface being integral with the plates, formed by flexible contoured plates secured thereto or by rigid plates which are discharged with boards formed on the conveyer. Boards 16 formed on the conveyer are fed to a stacking device 25, Fig. lb (not shown), having conveyers 60 which are moved into a hot press 26 having press plates 61. The boards are deposited on the plates 61 by the conveyers 60 as they are withdrawn from the press, wedge-shaped bars 63 serving as bridges for the fragile boards.
