Abstract

Antioxidants are obtained by the reaction of formaldehyde (or a substance yielding it), a cresol (preferably a mixture) and a morpholine; the latter may be morpholine or 2,6-dimethylmorpholine and may be admixed with, e.g., dibutylamine. A number of specific products are claimed per se.ALSO:Rubbers contain antioxidants prepared from formaldehyde, a cresol and a morpholine; examples describe compositions made from smoked sheets of natural rubber and containing also stearic acid, ZnO, S and diphenylguanidine.
