Abstract

1,039,497. Fuel injection pumps. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. Jan. 27,1965 [Jan. 30,1964], No. 3485/65. Heading F1A. The full-load stop 7 of a fuel injection pump is covered by a protective sleeve 11 locked in position on the housing 3 by a circlip 12, the sleeve 11 being provided with a fracture line 16 enabling the outer part of the sleeve to be removed to gain access to the stop 7. The broken sleeve gives an indication that the stop has been tampered with. The inner part of the sleeve has slots 18 which can be widened, e.g. by a screwdriver, to enable it to be freed from the circlip 12 and removed. The housing 3 screws on to a nipple 2 surrounding the pump control rod 8 and the stop 7 is adjustably positioned in a screwthreaded bore 4 and locked in place by a pin 10 engaging projections 6 on the stop.
