Abstract

A heat sensitive material comprises a support and a heat-sensitive layer containing a water-insoluble thiourea derivative (or one less soluble than 5 grams per litre of water) and an equally water-insoluble heavy metal salt, the cation of which is capable of forming a coloured sulphide. N, N<SP>1</SP> -diphenylthiourea is the specified thiourea derivative and lead stearate is the specified salt. The heat-sensitive layer may also contain kaolin and oxalic acid.
