Abstract

1,038,881. Moulding concrete. MIL-WIS ENGINEERING Inc. Feb. 4, 1963 [Feb. 5, 1962], No. 4466/63. Heading B5A. [Also in Division E1] Prefabricated reinforced concrete shells for use in building frameworks, wherein they are employed as column or beam moulds, are formed with generally concave bonding surfaces, against which the in situ concrete is cast, by coating the appropriate shell shuttering with a retarder. The shells may be rectangular (as shown), circular, oval, ovoid or channel-sectioned, the shuttering may be of wood, plywood, sheet metal or sheet metal coated wood, and the retarder may be molasses, starch, cellulose products &c. The bonding surface, e.g. 27R, is washed and/or brushed down after the appropriate shuttering &c. boards 9, 11, 13 and 15 have been removed.
