Abstract
1,037,770. Ejectors. E. I. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO. March 2, 1965, No. 8856/65. Heading F1E. [Also in Division B2] An ejector nozzle has inlet bore, throat bore and exit bore portions of circular crosssection, the diameter of the throat bore being about one third that of the inlet bore, the taper angle between the wall of the exit bore portion and the axis of the exit bore portion being from 2 degrees to 14 degrees, the exit bore portion having a truncated exit face the plane of which makes an angle # of from 19 degrees to 42 degrees with a plane perpendicular to the axis of the outlet bore portion and the truncated exit face having an inset face extending out from the discharge opening a distance of from ¢ to 3 radii of the opening, the opening defined by the inset face tapering outwardly at an angle of at least 6 degrees from the axis of the outlet bore portion.
