Abstract

1,037,047. Tubular heat exchange elements. LEUNA-WERKE " WALTER ULBRICHT " VEB. Oct. 9, 1963, No. 39823/63. Heading F4S. [Also in Division B1] A liquid distributer for the internal wall of a vertical heat exchanger tube 2 comprises a tubular body 3 which is symmetrical about its longitudinal axis, the lower end of said body which is the nearer end to the exchanger tube having a cross dimension greater than that at the upper end and less than the dimension of the internal diameter of the exchanger tube, there being provided at least three resilient supporting ribs 4 joined at one of their ends to the tubular body and having external stops 5 at their other ends, the distance from the outer edge of such stop to the axis of the body being greater than the internal radius of the exchanger tube receiving the body. The distributer is made preferably of synthetic plastics, especially polyamide. The body 3 may be constructed from two interconnected cones having different angles of conicity, joined together.
