Abstract

1,035,528. Screw conveyers for harvesters. MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR A.G. May 16, 1963 [May 18, 1962], No. 19482/63. Heading B8A. In a harvester for picking up fallen crops the crops are collected by rotor 50 and delivered on to guide 6 whence they are fed by screw 5 which delivers them centrewards to the harvester. Screw 5 is carried by two brackets 3 pivoted at 2 so that when required the screw 5 may be raised by operation of handle 11 and spring 9 into a position clear of guide 6 for inspection or other purpose. Spring 9 is secured at 8 to frame 1 so that it locks the screw in either of its over-centre positions.
